Deepwater licences in Eastern Indonesia

The West Papua IV and Aru Blocks were acquired from Niko Resources Limited in 2015.

This is a deepwater oil play within the Miocene-aged, New Guinea platform carbonate, with the potential to contain in excess of a billion barrels recoverable. We have acquired new state-of-the-art 3D seismic in 2016 over the key leads and prospects. This has been fully processed and interpreted, and we are now in the process of determining whether to move ahead and drill.
